DESCRIPTION:Palm Sunday\nText: Matthew 21: 1-11\n \nI am always intrigued
about where I am in Jesus’ triumphal journey into Jerusalem.\nI have rea
d commentators describe Jerusalem somewhat like a shopping mall at Christm
as\, with last minute shoppers. People trying to complete religious obliga
tions and the necessary items for Passover. Yet at the gate\, there is as
described\, a band of ragtags and unwanted\, escorting Jesus into Jerusale
 m. The question is\, do they care or do you just want to get business done
and go home?\n \nThe Question: \nWhere are you in this picture?\n\n\nMat
thew 21:1-11   New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition\n\n\n\nJesus
’s Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem\n\n\n\n\n\n21 When they had come near
Jerusalem and had reached Bethphage\, at the Mount of Olives\, Jesus sent
two disciples\, 2 saying to them\, “Go into the village ahead of you\
, and immediately you will find a donkey tied and a colt with her\; untie
them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you\, just say t
his\, ‘The Lord needs them.’ And he will send them immediately.”[a]
4 This took place to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet:\
n5 “Tell the daughter of Zion\,\nLook\, your king is coming to you\,\n
humble and mounted on a donkey\,\n        and on a colt\,
the foal of a donkey.”\n6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had direc
ted them\; 7 they brought the donkey and the colt and put their cloaks o
n them\, and he sat on them. 8 A very large crowd[b] spread their cloak
s on the road\, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on
the road. 9 The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were sho
uting\,\n“Hosanna to the Son of David!\n    Blessed is the one who c
omes in the name of the Lord!\nHosanna in the highest heaven!”\n10 When
he entered Jerusalem\, the whole city was in turmoil\, asking\, “Who is
this?” 11 The crowds were saying\, “This is the prophet Jesus from
 Nazareth in Galilee.”\n\n\n
