Fr Osita Oluigbo
Parish Priest
Our rector, Osita Chidi Oluigbo simply likes to be called “Osita.” Born into an Anglican family in South Eastern Nigeria, he felt the call to ministry while a student at a Christian High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy/Religious Studies; a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology; full four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC and is in the final stages of Doctor of Ministry program at St. Stephen’s College in Alberta.
In nearly 25 years of priesthood, Osita is widely travelled with ministry experiences in Nigeria, Venezuela, Milwaukee Wisconsin and most recently for eight years at St. Andrew’s in Sidney, British Columbia. A humble, genuine, preacher and teacher with a strong faith. He is warm and friendly, has a lovely sense of humour; a gifted teacher who describes himself as a Pastor – “one who lovingly walks with his people.”
Osita is blessed by his lovely wife Jennifer and their three sons: Chizu, Esomchi and Chiduzie. The family is happy to make their home here in Tillsonburg.
