Prayerbooks that we use

The Book of Common Prayer 1962 is the comprehensive prayer service book for Anglican Churches worldwide. It has shaped Christian worship for almost 500 years. It uses traditional wording and prayers and structures for services throughout the day and the year. It contains the written liturgies for almost any service held in an Anglican Church. These include: Morning and Evening Prayer, Holy Communion, Ordination, Baptism, Matrimony, and Burial services.

The Book of Alternative Services 1985 is a contemporary, inclusive-language liturgical text used instead of the Book of Common Prayer. It is probably the most widely used prayer book in the Anglican Church of Canada. It includes morning and evening prayer, services for Holy Communion and the forms for administering the sacraments, rites and ceremonies of the Anglican Church.
