Text: John 12: 1-11
In our passage this morning, we hear of a visit Jesus made to Lazarus after he was raised from the dead. During this visit, Mary takes a pound of costly perfume, made of pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus. Imagine the fragrance of whole house. Judas Iscariot pipes up and says, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?” Jesus responds, “Leave her alone. She bought it so that she might keep it for the day of my burial. You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.”
The Question:
Where are you in the story? Taking sides with Judas or allowing your faith to side with Jesus?
